Outdoor Learning across the UK is increasingly recognised as an important factor in education, health & wellbeing, environmental sustainability and social mobility. This conference explores an increasingly joined-up and coherent sector and its most recent developmental activity. It will focus on:
- Progress in research and the development of the sector’s evidence base
- Strategic leadership in the sector & good practice in organisation development & management
- Workforce development and Professional Standards in Outdoor Learning
- Outdoor Learning’s role in UK government policy and the latest work from across the sector to make outdoor learning more accessible and better understood
The conference will draw on prominent Outdoor Learning professionals, leading academics, National Government representatives, interested funders and others from the International Outdoor Learning community. It will be the largest conference of its kind in 2018 providing a wealth of networking and professional & organisation development opportunities.
The Institute for Outdoor Learning is co-ordinating the development of the conference content, working closely with The Association of Head’s of Outdoor Education Centres, supported by The Outdoor Council, British Activity Providers Association, Outdoor Education Advisors Panel and Council for Learning Outside the Classroom.
